Overwatch 2 season 2: New game modes, holiday skins revealed - Polygon

Overwatch 2’s second season and new tank hero Ramattra arrive on Dec. 6, and a new trailer for the free-to-play game’s new content shows what else players can expect in season 2. That includes a new Zeus-themed mythic skin for Junker Queen, Greek mythology-inspired skins for other heroes, a new Escort map, and the return of two classic Overwatch holiday events.

Season 2 of Overwatch 2 will also include a new limited-time event called Battle for Olympus, which runs Jan. 5-19, 2023. The trailer doesn’t offer much in the way of specifics, but it does appear to take place on the game’s Ilios map and includes Junker Queen calling down team-wiping lightning strikes. The Greek gods theme for the game’s second battle pass appears to include new skins for Roadhog (Cyclops), Ramattra (Poseidon), Lúcio (Hermes), Widowmaker (Medusa), Reinhardt (Minotaur), and Pharah (Hades). Junker Queen’s new mythic skin will likely be the end-of-battle-pass reward, similar to Genji’s Cyber Demon skin from season 1.

A closer look at Overwatch 2’s season 2 skins, some of which will be available through the battle pass, others through the in-game store, are in the gallery below:

Elsewhere in the trailer, we get a peek at new holiday cosmetics for Bastion, who appears to be getting a gingerbread house-inspired skin for Winter Wonderland 2022 (which runs Dec. 13 to Jan. 4), and Mei, who is getting a rabbit-themed skin for Lunar New Year 2023 (which runs Jan. 17 to Feb. 6).

But the bigger gameplay additions come in the form of Ramattra, who will be included as part of season 2’s battle pass, and a new Escort map, Shambali, set in the Himalayan peaks.

Overwatch executive producer Jared Neuss said earlier this month that, in response to season 1 of Overwatch 2, Blizzard wants players “to feel more rewarded” for playing the game in future seasons. Neuss hinted at more free skins that can be earned by playing events — like Battle for Olympus — and by watching streamers on Twitch.

Overwatch 2 is available now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

iPhone 15 to Use 'State-of-the-Art' Image Sensor From Sony for Better Low-Light Performance - MacRumors

Apple's upcoming iPhone 15 models will be equipped with Sony's newest "state of the art" image sensors, according to a report from Nikkei.

iPhone 14 Pro Rear Camera
Compared to standard sensors, Sony's image sensor doubles the saturation signal in each pixel, allowing it to capture more light to cut down on underexposure and overexposure. Nikkei says that it is able to better photograph a person's face even with strong backlighting, as an example.

Sony is using semiconductor architecture that puts photodiodes and transistors in separate layers, allowing for more photodiodes. It is not clear if all of the ‌iPhone 15‌ models will use the new sensor technology, or if Apple will limit it to the higher-end "Pro" ‌iPhone 15‌ models.

At the current time, rumors suggest that the ‌iPhone 15‌ Pro will have several exclusive features that will not be available in the standard ‌iPhone 15‌ models, including an updated A17 chip, a faster USB-C port, more RAM, and most notably, updated zoom camera technology.

Apple is working on a periscope telephoto lens that will improve the ‌iPhone 15‌ Pro's optical zoom capabilities, allowing for up to 10x optical zoom to match some Android smartphones that are on the market.

The Sony image sensor technology described here would likely be used for the Wide camera that Apple considers the iPhone's "main" camera as Apple typically uses different technology for each lens.

Cyber Monday Deal: $900 Off the 49" Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 Gaming Monitor - IGN

Amazon is offering the best prices on the 49" Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 and G9 gaming monitors for Cyber Monday. If they seem familiar to you, that's because they've been carried over from Black Friday. It's nice that Amazon has kept the price the same because everyone else (including Samsung direct) has raised the price of the Neo G9 by $100 or more. On top of that, Amazon is offering an additional 10% cashback in savings for anyone who pays with an Amazon Prime Card.

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 49" Mini LED Gaming Monitor: One of the Best Gaming Monitors Around

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 49" 4K Gaming Monitor

10% Cashback with Amazon Prime Card (Must Be Logged In)

Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 49" 4K Gaming Monitor

39% off $2,299.99

$1,399.99

Extra Potential Savings Alert: If you have an Amazon Prime Card, you can get 10% cashback ($140). That effectively drops the price to $1259.99. If you're an Amazon Prime member but you don't have the Amazon Prime Card, well then you should totally sign up for one, since there is no annual fee. This is an amazing card because it gives you 5% cashback on all purchases on Amazon all year round.

So what makes this monitor worth the price? The main thing is the Mini LED display. Samsung's highest end "Odyssey" series gaming monitor is also Samsung's only monitor equipped with a Mini LED backlight combined with a quantum dot (QLED) panel. You'll find Mini LED backlights only in the higher end 4K TVs as well as the newest Apple iPad Pro 12.9" XDR display, the priciest iPad on the market.

The Samsung Neo G9 isn't a one trick pony, and all the other specs live up to the hype of a top-end gaming monitor. This truly massive 49" curved panel monitor boasts a pixel dense 5,120x1440 resolution. That curve, by the way, is pretty extreme (1000R), to the extent that it almost hugs you as you play games. It offers a 1ms response time and a 240Hz refresh rate, which means virtually no input lag or motion blurring. It is HDR2000 certified, meaning it is possible of displaying a searing peak brightness of 2000nits. Plus, it offers G-Sync and FreeSync Premium Pro support. And it has two HDMI 2.1 ports.

Obviously the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 isn't a monitor for everyone. You need a rather generous gaming budget if you want to add this to your rig. The cost keeps many us gamers at bay, but certainly the barrier to entry has been signficantly lowered with this deal today.

Samsung Odyssey G9 49" Gaming Monitor

Samsung Odyssey G9 49" 5120x1440 Curved 1ms 240Hz QLED Gaming Monitor

Samsung Odyssey G9 49" 5120x1440 Curved 1ms 240Hz QLED Gaming Monitor

36% off $1,399.99

The Samsung Odyssey G9 was released in August of 2021, so it's only one year older than the Neo G9. The only real difference is that the Odyssey G9 doesn't have a Mini-LED backlight. That means it has less local dimming zones and a lower brightness rating (HDR1000 certified vs HDR2000). Everything else is virtually identical. The Odyssey G9 is a 49" 5120x1440 1000R curved display with a fast 1ms response time, 240Hz refresh rate, and NVIDIA certified G-SYNC compatibility. The HDR1000 quantum dot (QLED) panel boasts 125% more color space than the sRGB standard (95% DCI-P3). If it matters to you at all, this monitor is great to look at as well, from the front as well as the back.

Samsung Odyssey ARK 55" Gaming Monitor

Samsung Odyssey Ark 55" Curved 4K 165Hz Mini-LED QLED Gaming Monitor

Samsung Odyssey Ark 55" Curved 4K 165Hz Mini-LED QLED Gaming Monitor

31% off $3,999.99

$2,749.99

We can't mention Samsung's "best" gaming monitors without mentioning the new Samsung Odyssey ARK. This is a gargantuan 55" gaming monitor (not TV) with a Mini-LED backlight and QLED panel much like the Neo G9. It has an aggressive 1000R curvature for maximum immersion and has a fast 165Hz refresh rate. For a screen of this size, it has an extremely versatile stand. You can even pivot it to "cockpit mode" for an incredibly vertical experience. Unlike most other gaming monitors, the Odyssey ARK is also equipped with a surprisingly capable sound system.

48" LG 48GP900-B 4K OLED Gaming Monitor: The Closest Competitor

LG UltraGear 48GP900 48" 4K (3840x2160) OLED Gaming Monitor

2022 Release

LG UltraGear 48GP900 48" 4K (3840x2160) OLED Gaming Monitor

40% off $1,499.99

The 48GP900-B is the first Ultragear gaming monitor uses an OLED panel. This is a simliar WOLED panel to the one that you find in the 48" LG C1 OLED TV but there are a few key differences. Instead of the semi glossy coating found on the OLED TV, the 48GP900 features an anti-glare low reflective coating that is undoubtedly a better fit for close up monitor usage. It also has DisplayPort connectivity and lacks the built-in Smart TV interface. It does carry over the HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K @ 120Hz compatiblity for PS5 and Xbox Series X owners, as well as VRR and G-SYNC support. Additionally, the 120Hz refresh rate can be overclocked to 138Hz when used as a PC monitor. Lastly, if aesthetics matter for you, there is subtle RGB backlighting on the rear of the monitor that isn't present on the OLED TVs.

This 512GB micro SD card from SanDisk is half price at Amazon today - Eurogamer.net

SanDisk have been one of the most reliable producers of storage drives in recent years, whether it's a handy USB memory stick or a traditional SD card.

The most common form of digital storage people handle these days are micro SD cards thanks to how ubiquitous they are. Right now, this SanDisk micro SD card with its huge 512GB storage is currently on sale for just £35 from Amazon. This is half off its retail price, and one of the best SD card deals we've seen this Black Friday season. And it's even better for our American readers where Amazon US has it down by 60 per cent to just $39.99. This is a phenomenal price for an accessory that's almost a necessity for so many of us.

This SanDisk Ultra micro SDXC card has a class 10 rating, with transfer speeds of up to 150Mb per second. That's plenty for all devices that can handle this thing, including digital cameras and recording full HD footage. In fact, it comes with a full sized SD card adapter so you can use it in devices that take standard sized SD cards like cameras.

Those speeds will also be useful when it comes to playing games too. It'll work perfectly with the Nintendo Switch and also to store games for your Steam Deck handheld. So many laptops, especially consumer, non-gaming ones, can only increase storage with only SD or micro SD cards, so you can save a tonne of games and media and take it with you. With a capacity that matches the SSDs of many laptops, you'll avoid the pain of filling it up very quickly. Plus, if you use an Android phone, this will easily work with the range of handsets that support storage expansion using micro SD cards.

SD cards are often on sale during Black Friday, and we've created a guide of early offers available, should you want something smaller in size. And make sure you're following us at Jelly Deals on Twitter. We're always posting deals on discounted items throughout the day from numerous reliable retailers.

The Oura Ring Isn’t Perfect, But It’s Better Than Anything Else I’ve Considered - BuzzFeed News

BuzzFeed may collect a share of sales or other compensation from Things We Love links if you decide to shop from them. Some items were already owned by our staffers, and others were sent to us for review, but nothing made the cut unless it was actually loved. We hope you love them too. Also, all prices were accurate and items in stock at the time of publication.

I’m not really into wearable tech. I have never really considered using any body-tracking device — partly because I have traditionally not been that interested in what my body does, I have no goals that would warrant constant bodily surveillance, and also I think they’re all ugly.

However, there is one health issue I am interested in — sleep. At the risk of talking about myself like I’m a baby, I’ve never been a great sleeper, and I’ve always been curious about the quality of my rest.

That’s why I decided to try the Oura ring, which is a smart ring that has all kinds of health-tracking features, including sleep monitoring. Here’s my review.

What the Oura ring looks like

First of all, the Oura looks like the One Ring from Lord of the Rings. That immediately makes it better than an Apple Watch for me. It looks a bit like a thick wedding band and can be worn on your index, middle, or ring finger. (I wore it on my index finger, which is what Oura recommends.)

The Oura still might not be to everyone’s taste — for example, I don’t generally wear chunky jewelry — but it’s relatively unobtrusive. It comes in various colors, including black, rose gold, silver, and gold, so you can match it to your existing jewelry, if that’s a concern.

Note that there’s a step before you’ll get your actual ring: Oura sends a sizing kit to help ensure the right fit.

The Oura ring cost

The Oura costs between $299 and $349, depending on the model. (A Gucci x Oura collaboration edition costs $950, ooh la la.) There is a membership fee of $5.99 after the first month.

The Oura ring is waterproof

The Oura is easy to charge and generally needs to be plugged in once a week — it typically took less than an hour for me. It’s waterproof, so you can keep it on in the shower or while washing dishes. The ring is lightweight, and while I feared that would mean it would scratch or mark easily, it seemed to withstand daily wear and tear pretty well.

Pros of the Oura ring

Apple Supplier Potentially Hints at iPhone 15 Pro With Solid-State Volume and Power Buttons - MacRumors

Apple supplier Cirrus Logic may have vaguely hinted at iPhone 15 Pro models getting haptic buttons next year, according to research firm Barclays.

iPhone 14 Pro Purple Side Perspective Feature Purple
In a letter to shareholders this month, the Texas-based semiconductor company said it continues to "engage with a strategic customer" and expects to "bring a new HPMS component to market in smartphones next year." HPMS refers to Cirrus Logic's high-performance mixed-signal chips, which includes haptic drivers for the Taptic Engine in iPhones.

On an earnings call with analysts this month, Cirrus Logic CEO John Forsyth narrowed down the timeframe for this new component coming to market to the "back half of next year," which would line up with iPhone 15 Pro models launching next September.

In an investor note last week, Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis and Tom O'Malley said the new component that Cirrus Logic mentioned will most likely be part of additional Taptic Engines for the haptic buttons on iPhone 15 Pro models:

The biggest change to our thinking here is to model $1 of new content in the IP15 Pro models. To be clear, the company hasn't said much here other than that the chip is mixed signal and not in the power domain. When looking at potential use cases, the largest change in new iPhone models next year is the removal of the buttons, which would require additional drivers for the haptics engine, making it the most likely use case for new content.

In October, well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said iPhone 15 Pro models will feature solid-state volume and power buttons. Kuo said the devices will be equipped with two additional Taptic Engines that provide haptic feedback to simulate the feeling of pressing the buttons, without them physically moving, similar to the Home button on recent iPhone SE models or the Force Touch trackpad on newer MacBooks.

Haptic buttons on iPhones could allow for even better water resistance and would eliminate moving parts that can wear out or break over time. However, the standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are still expected to have mechanical buttons.

iBUYPOWER SlateMESH | $1,249.99 $974.99 at Best Buy

iBUYPOWER SlateMESH deal with $275 saving stamp and purple background

Rounding out our coverage today we have yet another excellent deal from iBUYPOWER and Best Buy, and yet another entry-to-mid-tier rig under $1000. Inside this aesthetically pleasing SlateMESH case is an Intel i7-12700F CPU, 1TB of HDD + 500GB of SSD storage, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and an RTX 3060 graphics card.

All that will set you back $974.99 at Best Buy at the moment, which we'd say is another great option for first or second time gaming PC buyers. You don't get much in the way of freebies with non-PC specific retailers, but you do get 6 months of free security software here.

And with that, I'll put a pause on my coverage for the evening. Please do remember that I'll be updating this page every day this week in the lead up to Black Friday itself, so if you want to catch more gaming PC deals, keep the tab open, or maybe bookmark it for later. Either way, I hope the Black Friday gaming PC deals I've highlighted today have been somewhat helpful. If not, I'll be scouring the digital storefronts again tomorrow, so I'll do my best to find you something then.

ROCCAT Syn Pro Air PC Gaming Headset | $149.99 $74.99 at Best Buy

Roccat Syn Air deal image with $75 saving stamp and purple background

Gaming PCs aren't the only thing on offer this Black Friday. If you're struggling to afford an entire new console or PC, often I find that a few cheaper upgrades on smaller bits of gaming hardware can make the world of difference in how my gaming setup feels. Quality of life updates are as important as major platform leaps, at least in my opinion.

With that said, this is a great PC gaming headset, and it's currently at its lowest ever price at Best Buy. We gave it three and a half stars in our review, and our biggest gripe? You guessed it - the high price. However, it went on offer last week, and has since dropped in price again to $74.99.

If you're looking to refresh your gameplay experiences without splashing upwards of $500 on a brand new PC, why not think about upgrades like this? I keep saying it, but times are hard.

UK: Roccat Syn Pro Air | £129.99 £89.99 at Amazon

ASUS ROG Strix Gaming Desktop | $1,899 $1,639 at Amazon

ASUS ROG Strix Gaming Desktop deal image with $260 saving stamp and purple background

I didn't think we'd see as many RTX 3080s going cheap this early in the week, but here we are. From Amazon, we have an ASUS ROG Strix build that pulls together an Intel Core i7-11700KF Processor, a beefy 32GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD with an additional 2TB of HDD, and the RTX 3080 I alluded to.

Honestly, this might be one of the best configurations I've seen on offer so far this Black Friday, especially since it comes in under $1,700. In fact, for $1,639 I'd say this is a massive bargain. In a lot of ways, this is more futureproofed than the Aurora R14 I highlighted earlier on. As pricey as that was, it only had 16GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD, and the boosted Ti version of the same tier GPU. With this ROG rig (you're welcome) you won't need to think about upgrades for a good while.

UK: (The equivalent for UK buyers is a slight downgrade on a few components, but it's still a solid build with a similar price reduction) £1,599.99 £1,329 at Amazon

HP Pavilion TG01 Gaming Desktop | $1,499 $999 at Walmart

HP Pavilion TG01 deal image with purple background and $500 saving stamp

If you missed out on the Acer Predator Deal from earlier today by virtue of living in the US, this deal ticks almost all the same boxes, with maybe a few added bonuses. From Walmart, you can get an HP Pavilion TG01 rig that's powered by an Intel i7-10700 Processor and an RTX 3060 GPU. Besides that you get the same 16GB of RAM as the Predator 3000 in the UK, but in terms of storage you get a little more SSD to play with. A combined 512GB of SSD and 1TB of HDD ought to be enough to keep you going for now, and if you want to upgrade, there's always that option later on.

The bad news is that'll set you back $999, but in fairness, you're getting a $500 saving, so it's hard to be too mad.

Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R14 | $1,779.99 $2,099.99 at Dell

Alienware Aurora R14 Deal image with $680 savings stamp

I've been doing my best to cater to lower budgets so far - cost of living and what have you. But this deal from Dell is a good reference point, and very tempting if you have the expendable income for it. The Alienware Aurora R14 is the cream of the crop, and this build will tell you why. Inside we have an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti 12GB GPU, 1TB of SSD, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and an AMD Ryzen 7 5800X CPU with 8 cores. You might be able to find better value for money in the lower-end deals we've highlighted so far, but for future-proofing, this does a pretty superb job.

It's worth mentioning that you also have one year of premium support from Dell bundled in, so you know you've got some protection on your purchase. Like I say, this one is really for the higher budgets, but even if you can't afford it, it's good to see reductions on higher-end builds so you have a frame of reference for buying further down the price ladder.

Acer Predator Orion 3000 | £1,149.99 £999.99 at eBuyer

Acer Predator Orion 3000 Deal image with £150 saving stamp

Alright, here's one for UK Black Friday gaming PC deal hunters, seeing as many of the US deals don't have exact UK equivalents. The Acer Predator Orion 3000 is still one of our top gaming PC picks, and this build is a steal for just £999. Keeping the lights on in this rig is an Intel Core i5-12400 CPU, 16BG of RAM, and 1TB of HDD with an additional 256GB of SSD storage. In the graphics department, you get a solid RTX 3060 12GB.

If you'd rather have more SSD storage, there are plenty of amazing Black Friday SSD deals going on just now too. SSD has been getting cheaper and cheaper this year, so much so that we're now seeing historically low prices. Other than that, this is a great mid-tier gaming PC that will definitely see you through.

CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme | $1,999.99 $1,679.99 at Best Buy

CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme deal with $320 saving stamp and purple background

RTX 3080 alert! This configuration from CyberPowerPC at Best Buy saves you $320, and gets you some very beefy components. Inside we have a 12th Gen Intel Core i9-12900KF CPU, the aforementioned RTX 3080 GPU, 16GB of RAM and 1TB of SSD. For under $1,700, this is a really powerful build.

Despite a new 40 series of GPUs releasing, the RTX 3080 is one of the best cards on the market. Now that it's readily available and chip shortages are a shudder-inducing memory we don't have to worry about, its more than worth seeking out the famously elusive 30 series GPUs in pre-built gaming PCs. If you have the cash for this type of power, get it while you can - you don't want to wait around for stock levels to dwindle as the week goes on.

iBUYPOWER Slate MR293i | $1,799.99 $1,429.99 at Newegg

iBUYPOWER Slate deal image with $370 saving stamp

So far, I've been feeding you plenty of lower-end, budget-friendly picks, so here's a deal from Newegg that will give you a little more bang for your buck. Under the hood of this iBUYPOWER Slate we have an Intel Core i9 11th Gen CPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 1TB of SSD, and a lovely NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 GPU to top it all off.

With free shipping, Newegg's price match guarantee, and the option to get an extra 11% off with a simple promo code you can find on the retail page, this is a pretty fantastic deal for the price of $1,429.99.

Lenovo Legion Tower 5 | 3 months of Xbox GamePass | $989.99 $729.99 at Best Buy

Lenovo Legion Tower 5 deal image with $260 saving stamp

This is a great entry-level offer from Best Buy on a Lenovo Legion Tower 5 build. For $729.99 you get: An AMD Ryzen 5-5800G CPU, an AMD Radeon RX 6500XT, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage. RAM aside, this is a fairly capable build that will be able to see you through some light-to-mid in-game settings. Plus, if you need to upgrade the RAM, Black Friday RAM deals are on-going.

As I mentioned yesterday - I'm a fan of freebies with my deals. I'm happy to report that with this offer you get 3 months of Xbox GamePass thrown in, which, again, is a perfect bonus for a first-time gaming PC buyer. Don't worry about building up your Steam library after splashing out on the hardware, let GamePass and its stellar library see you through for a few months.

UK: Lenovo Legion T5 | £1,659.99 £1,569.99 at Box

Alienware Aurora R13 | $1979.99 $1,499.99 at Dell

Alienware Aurora R13 Deal image with saving of $480

Good morning! Welcome back to our live coverage of 2022's Black Friday gaming PC deals. We'll kick things back off the way we got the ball rolling yesterday. The Alienware Aurora R13 is our current top pick for best gaming PC. In this deal from Dell (Alienware's parent company) you get a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700F processor, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, 512GB of SSD storage, an AMD Radeon RX 6700XT GPU and a saving of $480 from its estimated value. Dell is also offering free shipping and one year of its Premium Support plan for the $1,499.99 purchase, so that's worth noting.

If you're looking for something more wallet-friendly, there's also a second configuration on offer right now. In that version of the R13, Dell is offering a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-12400F CPU, an AMD Radeon RX6500 XT GPU, 8GB of DDR5 RAM, and 256GB of SSD storage, all for the low, low price of $899.99. If you're struggling to afford higher-end specs, this build in particular is a great way to start a long term investment on a PC you can upgrade later on.

It's also worth stating, we've experienced a few technical blips in the last few days when we've tried to link to Dell's storefronts. If links take you to an outlet or refurbished Dell product website, try to redirect yourself to the official Dell retail site in your region.

UK: Save up to £1,2500 on Alienware Aurora R13 builds at Dell

Skytech Gaming Archangel | Free Uncharted Legacy of Thieves Collection | $1,699.99 $1,269.99 at Amazon

Skytech Gaming Archangel Black Friday Deal image with $430 saving stamp

One last deal before I down tools for the day, this time from Amazon. This PC has lots in the way of aesthetics with its icy-white chassis and RGB fans and lining. On the inside you get a Ryzen 5 5600X processor, an RTX 3060 Ti, 1TB of SSD storage, and 16 GB of DDR4 RAM. From the offers we've seen today, this isn't the best of the best, but you do get a free game with your purchase, and some extra freebies are never a bad thing.

Along with your $1,269.99 purchase, you get Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, so whether you're a transitioning PlayStation gamer or someone that's never experienced a Nathan Drake adventure, this might be the deal for you.

And with that, our coverage for today is done. I'll be maintaining this page throughout the week, so if you didn't quite get the deal you wanted today, check back tomorrow. I'll be picking things up from 10am GMT each day and bringing you the best Black Friday gaming PC deals and offers I can find.

Yeyian Katana X10 | Free shipping | Free Nvidia Game $1,399 $949 at Newegg

Yeyian Katana X10 deal image with $450 saving stamp and purple background

I told you I'd try to find viable gaming PCs under $1000, and I meant it. Even if you haven't heard of Yeyian, you'll have heard of the 11th Gen Intel Core i5 CPU that powers this build, and is one of the best all-rounders on the market. In this deal you get one of those, plus an RTX 3060 that's more than capable of delivering lush environments and high frame rates. You also get 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and 500GB of SSD storage. All that can be yours for $949, plus you get Newegg's free shipping and free Nvidia game offer thrown in.

Honestly, if I was looking for my first gaming PC, this is the sort of build I'd go for. It's under $1000, and it's respectable components are more than capable of delivering good-looking, silky smooth performance in some of my favourite games. What more can you ask for this Black Friday?

CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme | $1,449.99 $1,199.99 at Best Buy

CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme black friday deal with $250 saving

We initially saw this deal last week, but since then it's been reduced by another $100. So now, you're getting even more bang for your buck. For only $1,199.99 you can have an AMD Ryzen 7 5700 CPU, 16GB of RAM, 1TB of SSD, and an RTX 3070. Yes - you read that correctly. This build has an RTX 3070 GPU, and it's under $1,300.

With a price drop since we found it last week, it might even drop again before Friday, but if you're at all worried about stock, now might be the time to jump on this deal.

Seagate FireCuda 530 2TB | $459.99 $249.99 at Best Buy

Seagate FireCuda 530 2TB SSD Black Friday deal saving $210

Right, so it isn't exactly a gaming PC, but if you're looking for a way to upgrade your SSD like I suggested with the HP Omen 25L deal, this is definitely a way to do that. The Seagate FireCuda 530 is one of the best, and most popular SSDs on the market. Although the 1TB version is cheaper, it's harder to get a hold of. This deal from Best Buy gets you 2TB for only $249.99. It's also a PS5 ready drive, if that interests you at all.

UK: £165 £139 at Currys

MSI Aegis R | Free Shipping | Free Nvidia Game | $1,899 $1,199 at Newegg

MSI Aegis R deal image saving $700 with purple background

Another amazing Black Friday gaming PC deal here - and it's only Monday. For only $1,199 (and at a $700 reduction, our biggest discount thus far), you get an Intel Core i7 12th gen processor, an RTX 3070 GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and 1TB of SSD storage.

As if the build wasn't strong enough on its own, Newegg is also offering free shipping, a price match guarantee, and a free Nvidia game with your purchase. You have to love extra freebies, especially when you're splashing out on an expensive piece of tech that you've likely worked hard to save for.

We don't have a lot of price data for each of these particular builds, especially since many of them differ slightly with the retailers. For what it's worth though, Newegg is saying this is its lowest price for 30 days.

HP Omen 25L | £1,399.97 £999.97 at Box

HP Omen 25L deal image saving £400

That last deal didn't have a UK equivalent, but this one is fairly close. In this offer from Box you can get an HP Omen 25L for only £999.97. Under the hood is a Ryzen 7 3700X Processor, an RTX 3060 Ti, and 16GB of HyperX FURY DDR4 RAM. The storage is the only thing potentially letting this build down, since it only has 256 GB of WD Black SSD and 2TB of HDD. However, given that SSDs are reaching historically low prices this Black Friday season, you could always spend a little more to upgrade it separately.

Regardless, this is a solid build for the money, especially since you're getting a capable RTX 30 series GPU built-in for under a grand.

iBUYPOWER Trace MR258i | $1,299 $1,099 at Best Buy

iBuypower Trace MR258i deal saving $200

Alright, here's one that's a little more budget-friendly. I say a little, because it's still just over $1,000. As I'm sure many of you are aware, it's very hard to get a gaming PC that can keep up with the latest games and technology demands without spending more than $1000 - but that doesn't mean I'm not going to try to find that for you. Times are hard, after all.

Either way, this deal from Walmart gets you an iBUYPOWER gaming PC for $1,099. If you haven't heard of iBUYPOWER, we'd argue it's one of the most reliable budget brands out there. Inside you'll get a Ryzen 7 5700 processor, an RTX 3060 GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. In terms of power-per-dollars spent, this is a pretty great deal.

If I find something better under $1000, I'll be giving you an update ASAP.

Alienware Aurora R13 | $2,599.99 $2,199.99 at Best Buy

Alienware Aurora R13 deal image saving $400

We'll kick things off with our personal favorite - here's the Alienware Aurora R13 on offer at Best Buy. There are two configurations listed on the store page; one costing $2,199.99 (saving you $400) which gives you an RTX 3080, Intel Core i7 CPU, 1TB of SSD, and 16GB of RAM.

Alternatively, if you're willing to compromise on some higher-end specs in order to spend a little less, you can go with the configuration priced at $1,749.99 (saving you $250). This build gets you an RTX 3070, with the other specs virtually the same.

This is one of the best and most sought-after gaming PCs on the market right now, so we'd expect there will be plenty of discounts going this week. If I see any cheaper prices, I'll be sure to give you an update. Either way, there's no better way to start than by giving you a frame of reference for how much a top-tier PC will set you back this Black Friday.
